Regripping

An Old or Worn Grip Can Lead to Several Negative Consequences in your Golf Game

To compensate for having grips for too long and their less-than-optimal condition, you might have to grip the club harder than normal and that can cause slower swing speeds.

Worn grips can diminish the connection or feeling you have between your hands and the club head, resulting in difficulties squaring the face at impact.

It is recommended that you regrip your clubs once a year.

(though the true answer comes in how often you play)
